Dr Copeland is the Associate Medical Director for Unscheduled Care and Integration in NHS Forth Valley. Prior to taking up this post in 2021 she held the role of Clinical Director for Ageing and Health in Forth Valley Royal Hospital, Larbert.
She is a graduate of the University of Dundee and chose to undertake her postgraduate training in the West of Scotland. Her formal accreditations include a CCT in Geriatrics, General Internal Medicine and Stroke. Her main sub speciality interests are Stroke, Delirium and Medical Education.
She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow (RCPSG) and an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
She is the Vice President for Workforce for the British Geriatrics Society. She has worked with Medical Women’s Federation, Scottish Delirium Association and its international counterparts, American and European Delirium Associations, to deliver education focused work in the area of delirium and medical leadership.
