Visit to Loch Lomond Sea Life World Centre

How great it is to be able to get out and about again.  Our residents are taking full advantage of all the trips starting up again.

Esther, Jackie and Ronnie headed off from Bishopton down to Loch Lomond Shores where they visited the Sea Life World centre.

They all thoroughly enjoyed seeing the sharks, fish, otters and especially April the rescued turtle.  April travelled more than 5,000 miles by land, sea and air to her new forever home in the centre in Loch Lomond.  Poor April was discovered floating on the ocean surface in Raa Atoll in the Maldives entangled in ghost netting with a plastic bag around her neck. April was already missing her right front flipper due to a ghost netting entanglement. As a return to the wild was simply impossible April came to her new home in Scotland.

Our residents loved meeting her and seeing all the other inhabitants of the Centre.

After a very thorough tour it was time for a relaxing cuppa with a seat with a fantastic view of Loch Lomond.  After watching all the boating activity and the paddle borders for a while it was time to make a move.

Tired but happy they headed head home.  Lots of happy faces after a very successful day out.
