We are delighted to share that Officers’ Association Scotland has awarded a terrific grant of £10,000 in support of Erskine’s Clinical Nurse Specialist project for elderly veterans. The Association has been a regular supporter of our veterans, even more so in recent years, and we would like to sincerely thank the Trustees for their continued support.
Erskine’s new Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) post was recruited earlier this year to further improve the excellent standards of care for elderly residents at all of our Homes, particularly for those living with dementia. Our CNS’s dedication and extensive clinical experience will further increase the knowledge, skills and confidence of Erskine’s frontline staff and will have huge positive outcomes for our veterans including improved treatment and reduced unnecessary hospital appointments.
Erskine would not be able to provide enhanced care services like this project without the kindness of regular supporters such as Officers’ Association Scotland. The Association was founded in 2020 and works to ensure that Officers and their families across Scotland are supported to lead full and productive lives.
